Chaplain’s Minute Message 12-3-23

Chaplain Paul

Chaplain Paul

Thank you for taking time to read my "Chaplain's Minute." It is my desire that this be a blessing to you and provide you with hope and encouragement.

Hey, this is your Chaplain again. Well, in just three weeks, it’ll be Christmas. And those three weeks are going to be hectic. We’re going to have more to do than we know how to get done.

One important thing is trying to remember everyone that we need to get a gift for. Because we sure don’t want to offend anyone by forgetting them. But you know what, every year someone is forgotten by just about everyone. And that someone is – the Lord, Jesus Christ.

And isn’t it ironic, supposedly we’re celebrating His birthday? Of course, the big problem is, what could you get as a gift for Jesus? He owns the universe. All the kingdoms of the world are His. So, what can you give Jesus for Christmas?

The answer is very simple. And at the same time, very profound. There’s only one thing you can really give Jesus this Christmas, or at any time. And that is – yourself. Your total being.

Jesus said in Mark 12:30 “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, All your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.”

Read that again, slowly. “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.”

Dare I ask? How well do you measure up to that requirement? How well do I? I think that’s something we all need to work on. Don’t you?

But – will you? Will I?

If you’d like to talk about spiritual things, but don’t have a pastor that you’re comfortable talking with, you can call the Chaplain at: 479-264-6146 or email: chaplain.northcut@gmail.com . I’d love to talk and pray with you anytime. May the Lord bless you and always draw you closer to Himself and use you for His glory is my prayer.
